Tamiya Silver

Not really used Tamiya paints until I bought the above mentioned silver recently. Why is it that when airbrushed it goes all glittery on the surface and residue sparkles in the air...NOT very nice is it.  End result hardly satisfactory either?! Also if its supposed to be acrylic why do I have to used other stuff to clean airbrush when water don't work.  And, how come the black I have got ,when brushed, leaves an unusual etched sought of texture on painted surface.?
