Oddball
So I put this one together over the last couple of days. It's a lovely little kit, very well engineered and lovely crisp molding. The only negative things I would say about it is that the towing cables are a little over scale, but they aren't too bad. And the barrel is a little out of proportion, so I replaced it with a turned RBM one. Couple of pics of the construction. And the finished article. Painted as usual with Tamiya acrylics and some Revell steel enamel for the tracks and tools. Minimal weathering was done with Humbrol weathering powders, and I did give the tracks a dark wash to take away some of the brightness but it seems I'll have to give them another as you really can't see it in the pictures. All in all a very enjoyable kit to build.
JackG
That is some really fine airbrushed camou. I would of toned down the brightness of the metallic paint, but overall it is a very good build. regards, Jack

Yeah I'm planning to give the metal work another wash or two, it doesn't look quite as bright to the naked eye but the camera really shows it. Hepster
I'm glad you mentioned the barrel that you replaced, I've been saying it was out of proportion for ages and getting 'Revell can do no wrong' replies. Lovely job on the (arguably) most charismatic tank ever!

Lovely job on the (arguably) most charismatic tank ever! Yeah it seems the slimmer part of the barrel is just that little bit too fat, and overall the kit part was about 2-3mm shorter than the RB barrel. Not a huge difference but enough to be noticeable. Badder
That's a smart job on the Tiger. Lovely finish and great tidy camo. Yeah, shame about the tow cables. Maybe replace them next time you build one? Rearguards, Badder
