I can only take blame for the pot of tamiya paint.... gator grip was recommended by ced so needed to be bought, Mr p sent lib transfers with some mozzie ones so I had to buy something to go with them, Stew built such a nice spitfire from the above transfers that I needed to by them and build them all, of course.... and the little pot of Mr hobby was a very kind gift from ced, cheers mate.

Great to meet so many people at the show and to se so many great models

Rob

Purchased replacement frames for my glasses in Specsavers this morning after the hinge snapped. Attempted self-deprecating banter with the hipster trainee-assistant whilst waiting, mainly because I feel uncomfortable standing there saying nothing in such situations:

Me: 'I still can't work out if these glasses make me look clever or just short-sighted.'

Hipster: 'Did you want a more clever-looking pair then?'

Me: 'What do you mean by 'clever-looking' exactly?'

Hipster: 'I'm not sure. I haven't been here long.'

Between my lame chat and his hipster vagueness,  a pure dose of Alan Bennett....

Airfix 1/48 Meteor F8, actually bought for me by Mrs Biggles. I was hoping to get one from Airfix on Black Friday because  the price exceeds my self imposed limit for 1/48 kits, but she heard me telling a friend that Airfix are not doing Black Friday and ordered one for me from Amazon, isn't that nice?

Three Stephen King books and a Nu Metal compilation CD, from a bloke at work. It would have been some white primer, but the model shop only had funny colours left.

Popped out to get a couple of paints earlier from Hobbycraft and had a quick look in TK Maxx as I heard they were doing kits again.

Came out with this..... Airfix 1/48 Red Arrows Gnat and Hawk for only £12.99. Bargain.

Mainly to see if I can get Flickr working but this is the stuff I picked up yesterday via local model shop and Amazon. The Airfix yearbook was a freebie chucked in by the LMS owner - maybe I'm spending too much time in there?

New set of racing overalls. My last set went out of date when the RAC MSA banned the use of Proban overalls and I've made do with borrowing other peoples since. I also thought that I'd managed to retire after the 2014 season but the chance to navigate for a decent driver in a freshly built Zetec powered Mk2 Escort was too much to resist.

And all with Mrs Bonhoff's blessing too!

Two Smer Fulmars and two Legato Hurricanes because a certain Lowestoft-based retailer is knocking them out cheap and because I feel some Malta-based aircraft coming on having just finish No Place for Beginners (the last thing I purchased).

Eighteen mince pies, to appease the slavering masses at a training session this morning. I might sit on one or two, just in case anyone gets stroppy.
