Got my copy of the new Mushroom Fairy Flycatcher book and its great. Only plans are in 1/48th but cover all you might need to detail any model. This will be a great help when Airfix begin their interwar biplane series in 48th! :D

Oooooooooooooooooooo <deep breath> ooooooooooohhhhh.

I'll have to look out for that, I have 2 of the old LifeLike kits in the stash. Airfix won't do one until I make a start on butchering the second one, so don't hold your breath. Although maybe if we write to Mr Jackson, he can direct (heh) his little hobby group to make a start on one. 32 is the perfect size for WW1 scouts IMO.

(As an aside, googling 'mushroom flycatcher' gets you... flycatchers shaped like mushrooms. Who'd a thunk it?)

Ok , i `ll get Airfix to produce the Flycatcher. I`ll dig out my Veeday models 1/72 kit ,start building and have a nervous breakdown. If you don`t know Veeday, they were made by the same gentleman who made Merlin Models. If you have ever attempted a Merlin kit, you`ll know what i mean.

Hi, may get this book at Telford, seems good.

Karaya models produce very good resin Flycatchers

in 1/72, four different boxings including the floatplane.

Aeroclub did an injection moulded Flyactcher with

white metal parts, a good kit which I made a few years ago,

not sure if still available though.

Cheers, Paul
