shood23
Hi guys I have just finished off a Fujimi Ferrari F10 Japan gp car but I have made it to depict the 2010 Korean gp car as it was the last win of 2010 for Fernando Alonso who came within a few points of the championship in his first season with Ferrari. This is what I wanted. And this is what I made. First off the camera picked up the weathering a little too much as it's much more subtle and no where near as white as it looks in the pictures. A few more close up shots The second to last picture is the closest to what it looks like to eye and also I'm not majorly happy with the tyres as I wasn't sure on what to do as with nothing put on them they looked too clean but with the stuff on them they just don't look right to me now. Thanks for looking Shaun
injidup
So refreshing to see a dirty F1 car! Would putting some dirt in the tyre grooves make them look better?
Hugh Jampton
Shaun, Apologises, I missed this post going up and kept going to your WIP to see how you were going to attempt the weathering. The car looks great and as Injidup says, it's so good to see an f1 car post race. I did a Renault R23 a few years back and over did the weathering but used a dark brown wash to get in the grooves and worked. I'm sure you've thought about it but it would look great with a figure on the top as your photo but I don't think they do a modern driver in that pose. Regards John PS, how's that Mclaren getting on?
