bootneck
Stop it! I'm holding off starting mine until the cold, dark winter nights set in but you are making me think twice about it! That is excellent work on the etch. Mike

Bigdave22014
Are you going to model the traditional matelot on top of the bridge wearing a Zulu outfit for entering or leaving port? (pre-politically correct times activity).

Paul E
The first model I scratch built was a Type 81, many, many years ago. I do like the look of this kit, and seeing your fine work has got me salivating. Note to self: I must build the models in my stash before adding new ones to it! Looking forward to seeing how this one progresses.

Ex-FAAWAFU
Looking superb; how do you get such clean, precise boundaries between different paint colours when painting such a complex shape? Or is it just dry fitted in the photos? Edited November 12, 2016 by Ex-FAAWAFU
Guest
The bridge ,midships funnel section and hanger come as separate parts, which made it easy to paint. Also the first funnel is separate. They fitted so well, after painting they just dropped in . Edited November 24, 2016 by Chewitt Show pictures of separate upper works
