theplasticsurgeon
Unleashing the might Alisons - these are the parts. This kit cost me 8 pounds at Gloucester Model show in 2012. I've built this kit as a NightFighter before, but no photos to share. This will be the NMF version.

Greg in OK
Thank you for building this kit. I was down to two options, but with you building the twin I am going to start the Academy P51A kit. I will come back around to the F-82 some other time... Greg in OK
theplasticsurgeon
Progressing, I've smoothed all the joints. I'm amazed at the difference in size. I thought the F-82 was two P-51Ds joined in the middle. NO - longer fuselage, and broader wing, very different Edited October 28, 2016 by theplasticsurgeon Photo

gingerbob
...or rather, the P-82 was a parallel development (get it?) using some of the thinking of the lightweights, of which the P-51H was the production form. It is certainly NOT a "conversion".
