Homebee
Years ago HpH released a 1/48th Convair B-36 Peacemaker fiberglas kit. It sound that this super kit will be re-released soon. Why not after the 1/48th XB-70 and Concorde kits? The box art was recently unveiled. Wait and see. 71chally
I've often dreamt of a 48th B-36, but never imagined it would happen!
172flogger
It is similar situation like HPH XB-70 Valkyrie. 1/48 Peacemaker was already done by HPH about 10 years ago: https://web.archive.org/web/20131112174507/http://www.hphmodels.cz/kat58.html this is cached page from old website and photos are gone It was sold as finished model for museums. Unfinished kit could be ordered by request but probably only basic parts, fiberglass wings and fuselage etc.. Now it will be upgraded with many details and sold as hi-tech kit. And of course expensive, check price of 1/48 XB-70.
Mike
I'd have to win the lottery and move to a warehouse to get all these HpH kits

71chally
Ah I see, hadn't heard of them before, but it does look like they trade more as museum pieces than kits to buy.
Mike
They are very niche, and often have a lot of fibreglass main parts, which is actually their main business. The kits are an offshoot taking advantage of their existing skills. I just can't help smiling when I see their massive kits. I'd have loved one of those giant Catalinas, one of their Concordes, you name it. I do have a Pak-Fa in 1:48, but that stalled due to my lack of modelling skill. I think I might be capable of restarting it now though, and might dig it out one day soon
Shar2
OMG I might have to succumb to temptation and get this one. Absolutely bonkers, as the 1:72 scale kit is big enough.
172flogger
I think their main bussiness are fiberglass sailpanes: http://www.hph.cz/index.php?lang=en http://hphuk.co.uk/

Head in the clouds.
Why stop at 1/48, carry on to 1/1. Anyway, what a strange world we live in, houses get smaller and everything we throw in them gets bigger....sofa, TV, fridge and models etc, etc.
