Rick Brown
Chaps. What's good at thinning ready for the Airbrush? I have the usual stuff, Tamiya, W&N Flow Improver, IPA etc but no Revell stuff. I only have a small model to paint, so didn't want to invest in a ton of stuff I'll never use again. Rick.
Jusjay
Ive not managed to thin the paint myself but I've heard that using revells own thinner works really well.
Murdo
I've used their aqua thinner to thin it for spraying. Be careful though, it doesn't really take much to thin it enough. By the way, before I got the thinners I'm pretty sure I just used tap water with good results. Edited October 15, 2016 by Murdo
Rick Brown
Used good old W&N Flow Improver. Beautiful finish. Worked a treat, and has been said, it doesn't take much thinning. It's weird stuff, looks really gloppy, but thins/sprays very easily. Pity I got the wrong shade of green though........ Rick.
Murdo
I find the Aquacolour quite good paint once you have it thinned enough.
Rick Brown
Just put the correct green on tonight. I'm pretty impressed with Aqua and it cleans up well with Vallejo "Airbrush Cleaner". Rick.
Sgt.Squarehead
I spray Revell Aqua Colour Acrylics with Tamiya X-20a, seems to work fine for me. They also brush beautifully with distilled water and a drop of retarder.
The dragonborn
FYI Revell's proprietary Aqua mix is a great strong decal solvent/softener, but use it in moderation as it eats acrylic paint for breakfast!
