I have been thinking about how to tackle the intakes and mesh FOD guards. Did you build the intakes according to the instructions? Jens Hi Jens, great to see that I managed to help with your build. With regards to the intake assembly, I did mine as instructed. May I know what issues are you facing with the intakes? Mark

Jens
Mark, I mostly wondered about the colour. It seems to be a light metallic grey, perhaps with traces of lemon yellow primer showing. Also, I have read the the mesh FOD guard is up only when the engines are running, but leaving them in the raised position exposes the intake structure in the bottom of the intakes. I was unsure whether you had built something to represent that structure. My first one will be a Ukranian Flanker in the splinter scheme. My second one will be something along the lines of your build. I just hope I can build something as nice as yours. Jens
madcat911
Lost steam doing the decals. So I did up the landing gear instead. Mark
madcat911
This build ain't dead. It is just proceeding at a glacial pace. Since the last update, I have completed the application of the stencils, completed the painting and decal application of the missiles and started on the enamel wash.
