Hello

I have just returned from an excellent five-day assignment with the Centre of Aviation Photography to Poland. We visited the fascinating WZL2 overhaul facility at Bydgoszcz, followed by two days embedded with the awesome Su-22 Fitters at Świdwin, and then one day with the incredible Mi-14 Haze helicopters of the Polish Navy at Darłowo.

Thanks for looking. I have more images, if anyone is interested.

You lucky so and so!

The Mi-14 is one of those aircraft I would seriously love to get up close to, it's a fascinating looking beast. I keep wishing the poles would bring one to one of the shows here in the Czech Republic but it never seems to happen.

They sent one to RIAT Fairford in 2012...... in this gorgeous commemorative  'Orca' scheme - (who will be first with the decals?)

I asked the bored-looking crew member (sitting on a garden chair at the back) if I could pop over the barrier and take some close-up - and he couldn't have been more helpful!!

After an external walkround, he opened the door to let me inside to photograph the interior - I think he was delighted that someone was taking an interest in his machine!!

The Poles sent another one in 2015 - again with special markings - but I only got some 'general' shots of that one

Thanks for all the kind words. It was a great experience to be so close to these increasingly rare machines.

Here are a few more images from the very grey, damp day which made photography a bit of a challenge! I hope you like them.

Excellent! Love the top shot with the machine against the greenery.

Go on, you'll be to busy setting up the SIG. If your good I might just pick up two in case they haven't brought enough:P

Remember no trading on the Friday, and I will have to have the SIG set up by the time trading starts.
