I can't help but feel a bit 'odd' regarding the rather nice Khee Kha Cessna 185. I like supporting teensy specialist producers like Khee Kha. I guess the AZ will actually be cheaper and appeal to those that don't like vac-form. An OOB RAAF version would be nice :).

:D :penguin:

RAAF ones were Cessna 180 not 185. Main visible changes were fin fillet and windows.

Papertiger - let me start with LVG - we expect end of next week as the date when we will get the first plastics. At the end of February will start distribution - I hope.

DH-9 family is still in the plan, we work on it. But as we do not know today how much time it will consume it is not in the list.

For everybody - please do not be afraid to ask me about everything, in my age I am not dangerous...... :-)

CarLos - no please, this one you´ve posted is BH-11C, another plane - shape of cockpit openings, bigger wingspan, another (completely) shape of horizontal surfaces...

And here is the scheme of another aircraft from the same aeroclub, it will be included in the box. Please note that this picture is one of the first "shots" and we made a lot of changes...

I hope my answer is covering your question fully... :-)

Thank you for all the info!

The conversion may be done, it's just a matter of making new outer wing panels in scratch and modify the fuselage and tail surfaces. By the way, are you sure about red as the darkest colour in the b&w photo?

Absolutely sure. Maybe I did not catch the shade in my profile properly. But aeroclub Plzen (Pilsen, town of Pilsner Urquell beer) used these colours - blue in various shades and red in various shades. Look at wing profile, not so easy to catch it. But, if you want I can provide you all my constructions for decal printing for free.

I know it's good to have injection moulded, I can't help but feel a bit 'odd' regarding the rather nice Khee Kha Cessna 185. I like supporting teensy specialist producers like Khee Kha. I guess the AZ will actuallly be cheaper and appeal to those that don't like vac-form.

I tend to agree. I have been wanting to get the Khee Kha 185, but never quite get round to emailing the order. Maybe with the AZ kit more readily available I will be able to pick one up in a shop, or at a show.

I hope it has the large 'bush tyres' and ski's and hopefully a good selection of bush pilot decals.

Apologies Ed. I know it's AZ thread, but I should have clarified that the Khee-Kha kit  allows either a 180 or a 185 to be constructed. I just didn't want to talk about someone else's kit on the AZ thread too much.

I am wondering if the AZ kit will be similar in this respect? Skis and/or floats would be good options too. It's a great subject :thumbsup2: .

Hmmm, seems to me I have to visit our development dept to see the details. I have seen the wings only. We have some EDO floats available, but I do not know if it is suitable for Cessna.

Let me inform you later, tommorow or so.

Hi,

A few random thoughts...

- Easy to believe that this company http://www.alvargullichsen.org/WEB/BONK_Works.html had an BH.11C with their name in the register!

- Cessna 180: Some late 180s had a 185 fin. Source: Simpson: General Aviation Handbook

- Jan: would it make sense to look such originally civil air frames later taken into military use like Pilatus PC-12 or Learjet 35A? Both are used by USAF and several other Air Forces, especially Learjet.

Before no one says about Mach Learjet... Should I say more that it is the famous Mach quality?

Cheers,

AaCee

Hi to all,

we had very long meeting with our German distributor this afternoon, so I am a little bit late.

I promised to show you the first photos of Chipmunk master. So you can follow the link -

http://www.modelarovo.cz/dhc-1-chipmunk-172-az-model-master/

And, to avoid many questions - the kit will be for the first time in sale on 18th March 2017. Immediately after this date it will target the distribution network.

That looks lovely Jan,

Can you please advise if the canopy will be moulded as one piece or will it have the ability to be shown in the open position as well.

March 18 cannot come quick enough. Hopefully I'll be able to order a couple not long after that.

Cheers.. Dave
