cardiff guy
I am currently working with a group of veterans called the 617 group. They are based in Penarth pavillion. " Penarth being the home of Guy Gibbson". They are a great bunch and every sat morning a few of us get together at HMS Cambria "naval reserve Barry", where we are building a big diorama which we hope when finished will represent RAF Germany at the height of the cold war. There is a lot of work still to do including over 200 trees but here is a small glimps. Please not the Phantom is only there for scale and will not be staying. "big thanks to HMS Cambria for their help and assistance" this is some work in progress. This is work in progress as always we spend more time talking than working. Hope you like it Glenn.

bar side
Nice idea. Replace the Phantom with a grey/green FGR2 with rocket pods & it'll look great. Are you going for a model of any one base in particular or general RAFG base?
cardiff guy
The inspiration has come from a pair of liney's from 31 sqn "jaguars" based at Bruggen, of course this was nearly 30 years ago and they were usually drunk lol. Regards Glenn.
