Slater
At first glance this would seem to be an unlikely Hellfire missile carrier but the Iraqis are evidently using it to good effect. They've requested two more. Has any other air arm had a similar use for this regional airliner/cargo machine? http://www.dsca.mil/sites/default/files/mas/iraq_16-42.pdf
HP42
I suppose it can climb quickly, carry a reasonable payload and it's cheap. It makes sense especially if the opposition has little anti-aircraft capability. stevehnz
Shades of the Cessna O-2A & Rhodesian Airforce Lynx perhaps. Steve.
upnorth
The Caravan can certainly be put down in a short distance. There's one based at my local that gets used for aerial survey, it's quite something to watch when they bring her in and throw the prop into reverse pitch once the wheels are down.
