Count me in! I have always wanted to build the Bristol F.2 used by the RCAF in the Chuck Bronson/Lee Marvin film 'Deathhunt.' I took this image from the Interweb... Red fuselage, skis, top mounted Vickers, bombs...fun! 1

Foxbat
This group build has started another little corner of my collection. My two builds are the A6M2-N Rufe, a floatplane conversion of an existing fighter and an N1K1 Rex, which was a floatplane designed to replace the Rufe that became a land based fighter when it's designed role was overtaken by events. So I'm also building a standard A6M2 and an N1K1-Ja to complete the story. Isn't that what group builds are designed to do - get your mojo running and the builds flowing? jrlx
Great to know the GB is sparkling your interest for new modelling subjects! Since the beginning of this GB I've also learned a lot about aircraft types I didn't even know existed and would like to build a lot more floating machines than I have time for. Ray S
Hello all! I do not know what you think, but I reckon this is an amazing Group Build, and when you consider that this time last year it was not even on the Forum! It was first suggested on the 6th of October, and here we are now, nearly 60 builds in and more being added all the time. It just goes to show what a success there can be with even a slightly left-field idea! (Not that any of us think it is left-field of course!). All the best, and good luck with all your builds! Ray It's great to see how popular this theme is. Even better to see some really left-field choices amongst people's builds. I've not had time to have a good look through all the build threads yet - I'll get there - but I've seen some really interesting choices, some challenging looking projects, and some outstanding work so far.
Rob G
It's quite amazing how many actual nutters there are here in BMland. Scary. I'm pretty sure that this GB has set some records - most vacform kits in a non-vac GB, most esoteric types in ANY GB, greatest spread of service entry dates (especially once I start my Be-200) and also... the best darn subject matter ever! And probably some others too. Keep it going lads (and ladettes, if we have any, and if not, why not eh?), we have nothing to fear except umm... running out of glue...? Sleep-deprived Rob G. <---- not really as silly as a wheel.
Black Knight
I'll do another one or two, but not till after SMW Telford as I'm busy building some for my club's table Options for the next one are from: Airfix Sunderland Airfix Grumman Duck Airfix Swordfish Revell Catalina Pegasus Hansa Brandenburg W29 Pegasus Albatros W4 ~~ Not much of a choice really
The Cameraman
Hi Guys n Gals, I'm sad to say that due to a mega heavy work load ( where I'm an Airport Duty Manager), and general life's ability to throw a spanner in the works, that I'm unable to build one of my Airfix Beavers at the moment. This got me thinking and I've decided that I'll consider donating one of these kits to a member here who can build it, under this superb Flying Boat and Floatplanes GB. So those that's interested in taking this on, would you please reply, by saying which scheme you'd build it in and I'll then select the one that most appeals to me! Come on Guys n Gals, it's time for a free Beaver!

Dazey
I know there are some beaching trolleys making appearances in this GB, but will there be any catapults? I'm not volunteering – I'll be lucky to finish what I've already proposed. Just wondered... Regards, David
TallBlondJohn
Hi everybody. Having been one of those who welcomed this subject I haven't been in a position to take part. However I've had to abort my Airifix Boeing 314 Clipper build from last year due to general incompetence. WIP here: So if its OK I'd like to contribute its replacement with another Clipper currently on its way to me in the post. My previous victim I will try to rescue as G-AGCA Berwick, but it will break the 25% rule so it won't be part of the group build. TBH the January deadline will be tough too but let's have a go.
