Foxbat
Well that was fun. Nothing went quite to plan but I still managed to get a completed model into the gallery. I'm frankly stunned at some of the models produced and quite proud to have been a part of things. Big thanks to mine hosts and all fellow builders. I'm going for a little lie down now, then another peruse of the gallery. Andy

Stew Dapple
I've voted, it was tough choosing though. Thanks to Jaime and the co-hosts for keeping control and to Enzo for making all the forummy-technical stuff happen I had a lot of fun and was pleased to be able to complete mine, as well as seeing what everyone else was up to; so thanks to everyone who took part as well Cheers, Stew
amblypygid
Likewise, this has been a most entertaining and informative GB, and has taken me to parts of the aviation world I never knew existed. I'm going to do my best to read through all of the wip threads as there's so much I haven't been able to keep up with during the GB. Thanks to Jaime and the co-hosts for so ably hosting.

CedB
Thanks Jaime et al for a very interesting and well supported GB - well run and the stats were very interesting I still have a Sunderland and Cat in the stash for the next one - someday.
jrlx
Thanks, Ced, that's very kind, as always! I also have several flying boats and float planes waiting in the stash, not to mention an Ekranoplan (I even considered entering it as a second build but didn't have the time...) and a few amphibian helicopters. And I'm still adding more to the stash Cheers Jaime
John Masters
Yes Jaime--thank you so much! It was my first ever GB and I had a blast. I was also impressed by the amount of behind the scenes work you did. It kept the ball rolling for the group and made it more interesting for me. And like Ced said...I have a few aquatic subjects still in the stash.
jrlx
Very kind, John! Thank you! It was very interesting also for me, following so many superb builds and I learned several new techniques, I got acquainted with many aircraft types I didn't know existed! nimrod54
Just to add my two-pennyworth to the other comments Jaime, I agree that this was a well organised group build and it has been great fun to take part in. All in all a pleasurable experience. A big 'well done' to everyone who took part, especially those who managed to finish their builds. The standard of completed models in the gallery is very high and will make picking a winner difficult. I too have a Sunderland in the stash, the ancient Airfix kit won in SAMI's monthly subscriber draw a few years ago, that I could be persuaded to attempt should there be a Flying Boats and Floatplanes II.

zebra
Thanks Jaime for an excellent GB. No thanks to everyone who took part - didn't expect this subject to be so popular but 43 completed builds is fantastic, and such varied and interesting subjects too. i have no idea how I'm going to decide which build to vote for.
