Couldn't get this posted to the Walkaround section, but have listed a link to many detail and restoration photos of a P-51D restored in the markings of Happy Jack's Go Buggy, flown by 20th FG P-38 and P-51 ace Jack Ilfrey, also from Texas. I have been up close to the airplane and the owner/pilot at numerous airshows, and it is a gorgeous and very authentic restoration. I think the photos will be very useful for modeling an accurate P-51D in any scale. Dr. Winters is a very nice man, an ex-USN F-18 pilot, and flies her extremely well at airshows. She is based here in San Antonio where I live, and she flies over my house every time she is taken up. Nothing, but nothing, sounds like a Merlin-engine Mustang- who needs surround sound? Enjoy!
