Mach Turtle
Greetings everyone. I took Turtle Jr. to the hobby shop to pick up some paint for the Boeing 314, and what should jump out at us but Revell's lovely 1/144-scale Boeing 747-8 in Lufthansa livery. This is a father-son build, straight out of the box. We made great progress on our first day of work. We built the landing gear bays, installed weight in the forward fuselage, and at the end of the day had the fuselage all sealed up. Here are some pictures: Thanks for watching!
buzz
Just an fyi but Boeing gear are grey, not silver/aluminium. And the nose gear is on back to front.

Mach Turtle
Hi, everyone. Well, this one's done, and I think I've brought another convert into the fold. Turtle Jr had a blast making this model -- which depicts what is probably the best-looking of the 747 family. The only "problem" we had was that the decals depicting "lufthansa.com," which are supposed to go toward the aft of the fuselage, weren't included in the decal sheet. I'm not sure why -- only those were missing, and they're shown in the instructions. No big deal. Here she is, Lufthansa 747-8 D-ABYA "Brandenburg:" I'll put some more pictures in the gallery later. Thanks for watching us. Edited October 25, 2016 by Mach Turtle Second photo

Mach Turtle
Thanks! It's a wonderful kit. It's hanging from my boy's bedroom ceiling now.
pinky coffeeboat
Very nice. Certainly the best looking 747 Boeing made, the longer hump adds a bit of finesse to the aircraft. It's a great kit - I love the long pointy wings and big engines. Well done! Jeff
