They seem to be targeting USAF bombers, which is nice. The company is still an unknown quantity as I don't know of any kit that they have done yet. But, if this kit ends up being better than the Testors subject (which isn't hard given how the Testors kit tends to be a warp and a half in the box) it will be most welcome.

I have bought one of their military vehicles, the 1/72 S-300PM/PMU (SA-10 Grumble) and the moulding and detail is impressive. Hopefully they will reproduce this with their aircraft kits.

I assume "quantity" here means "quality", and the quality of Modelcollect is well known as they are significant player in the world of military vehicle modelling.

Okay, that is what I was hoping to hear. So they appear to be taking a page from AFV Club's playbook and are branching out. Glad to hear it and if they are indeed taking a similar approach with these first two aircraft (B-52H and this one), that will be MOST welcome news. Then I can finally see how many fireworks it takes to blow up a Testors B-2. ;)

Wrong cockpit

1. There must be a nice behind technical compartment. The stand behind starboard pilot seat must be wider, there are equipment bays and the toiled behind these bays

2. Cockpit entry well is located right behind port board pilot seat

3. Front wheel bay is too wide, because of that the entry well is in wrong position. It is too wide because front wheels and/or fron are of wrong size

4. The floor should raise aft to accommodate wheels

5. There must be seat ejection rails behind the seats

6. Bomb bay seems wrong, either it is a perspective distortion or it is trapezoid in shape, that is wrong. The ceiling of the bomb bay must be as shown

7. Main wheel bays are too shallow

8. Main wheel legs are wrong

That observation are NOT MINE. I also think it is too early to judge the model by its early renders

So, here we go again. Based on a few very early CADs, this as yet non existent model has already been described by as being "seriously inaccurate" ! . I don't know........!! It is almost becoming a tired old cliché to try and suggest waiting until we see the actual model first..................!!. Mayhap the "guy who is familiar with the subject" might like to become familiar with the concept of "wait and see the article first"?

Well better to say the CAD looks off than not saying anything before the tooling is done. If I were a model company I would put up the CAD drawings not just to announce but also to get feedback. And it seems it worked this time. But the price.... ouch.

Fair comment  about the CADs!:D.

Equally fair comment about the price too!!. I think the B-52 was about $99? (£74).

The pre order price would be OK but there is another 29 USD for shipping to Germany via China Post. So I thoght to be cever and send it to our Shanghai Office. :-) But no - the shipping price remained which is quite odd. So around 100 USD plus taxes? Errr - no thanks - I am out, sorry. But I am sure others will be very happy to have a good kit of the B-2 in 1:72.

Is the Testors plastic as soft as that in the ESCI/Ertl kits? That put me off buying their Hercs and -135 jets. BTW, with a lot of time and skill you could make transform the Testors kit into this super-detailed marvel:
