What CAR/BIKE kits have you recently bought 2?

Italeri Escort Mk2, it'll probably get chopped up a bit.

And this Grp2 Escort from Roaring Replicars.

I undertand C1 Models supply a resin nose for the droop nose RS2000 which with the RR body will make an X-Pack escort. Also I hear 'someone' is having cast the 7.5 x 13 Ronal 4 spoke alloys [with the angled spokes] + tyres.

Oooh ja

I like this Escort top, please tell us where to get it, and also the rims sounds interesting, the nose from C1 I couldn't find....

I have a Kit of the MK1 Escort BV from "passion for racers", so this kit would be a nice addition...

So I've not got them yet in my hands but I have ordered 2 Tamiya Ferrari sf70h kits. 1 from hiroboy for a grand total of £50 ish and 1 from hobbyeasy in Hong Kong. I am doing a little self experiment of which one gets here first and which one works out cheaper when you take royal mail charge and vat into it if it gets caught.

Can you let us know the result Shaun? Knowing my 'luck' if I wanted to try the same thing, the HK parcel would be the only one I order that didn't get caught by customs!

I am kind of hoping that it doesn't get caught so then it would work out that the 2 average just over £40 each but if it does I'm not to worries as I've worked it all into my costs.

This one, which won't end up a standard nissan colour

PICT6092

And this one

PICT6094

which definitely won't finish up silver.

The 2 most recent purchases waiting to be delivered are an Italian Japanese import, the Fujimi 288 gto and a Tamiya Jag XJ220. Both in 1/24 scale.

I managed to pick up this Mclaren F1 GTR long tail and a set of Warsteiner/Fina decals for a very agreeable price off eBay.

I also bought a ‘Scale Motorsport’ carbon decal set and with a few subtle mods to the kit it should look something like this:

Hello PatW,

congratulation for the Mehari.

In original it's lovely funny car... I had the chance to drive it in Spain.

The model itself is a typical Heller kit...

In the box it looks good,but....

When building, take care of the stance, too much high in the front and somehow heavy loaded in the back.

And the canvas roof seems to be skyhigh, so completed with the top in it get's an ood shape.

But I guess, by looking at the models you buildt before, you'll manage these gibt's and create a wonderful Mehari

Cheers

Marco F.
