When I was in Hobbycraft yesterday I bought a Tamiya Austin Cooper S . Even now , over 30 years since the original Morris version came out , it's still a really nice kit - in my opinion , probably one of the best Tamiya have ever produced .

And yet again another superb bargain from ebay.uk...................a Ford Fooler from 1975.................

 1_zpsrms0wsxn.jpg

The instructions are a huge A4 sheet of paper with info printed on both sides!

The funny thing is (well to me anyway) is it states that chrome parts are denoted by the letter'C' after the sprue numbers, but there aren't any chrome parts!

It's just moulded in the brightest yellow plastic, my favourite colour!

The five decals though, 3 number 3's and two short white stripes are shot, but so would you be after 40 years in a cardboard box!

Just ordered the Ebbro Tyrrell 002 from Jadlam Racing Models.  They have both the Ebbro Tyrrells in the clearance section, and if you order before Midnight on Friday (25th of November) and use the order code BFMODELS at the checkout you get an extra 10% off the clearance price.  RRP £49.99, now delivered at £27.90.  The Stewart Tyrrell is a bit more though.  Also have the Belkits Escort MK1 in clearance too amongst others.

Have acquired the detail-up parts for the Fat Boy Lo (so much metal!) and Panigale S, plus I picked up a ZX-RR the other week from Amazon Japan. All look delicious, looking forward to the hols now.

Cheers,

Morning chaps :bye:

The Transits finally arrived down in our side of the world, so I just had to have two of them...

Its been a very long time since I've seen two of those kits together in the same place :D

Don't know what i'm going to do with them yet, but i'm putting on my nerdy cardigan when I say, I actually like the British Gas livery :nerd:

Just picked up a few bargains from Kent models. Aoshima skyline r34 v spec gtr and an old lb works skyline.

For those interested the blackFriday/ cyber Mondays deals are working at the moment on the website and this coupon code KMRC also knocks off 10-15% on top.

I just purchased the MFH Porsche 917K version C.  I plan to do the Lemans Winner and hope to start in the next few weeks.   This will be my first of this type, I have worked with Resin, Photo Etch, and white metal on other kits but this is my first big expensive one.

Good luck with your first MFH kit, cbk. Please post a WIP so we can see your progress.

Thanks, I plan to do something.  I have been studying some of the videos by Barchetta as well as other peoples builds of the same car.  They have some great ideas on soldering the tube frame.  Just got the car today.

I received in the post yesterday the Heller 1/8 Kawasaki Z1000GG Godier Genoud .  Besides the obvious fact that it's a Kawasaki Z1000 modified by a French tuning company , I know nothing about the bike at all , but I've thought it looked great ever since Heller re-issued it & , since it was on Creative Models weekly special offers at just £32.49 , decided to take the plunge .  Having received it , however , I have a few words of warning for any other prospective purchasers .  First off , some of the sprues aren't bagged & are rattling round loose in the hugely over-sized box , so make sure to check everything's there & undamaged - in mine , the windscreen is badly scuffed and a bit mangled where it's snapped off the sprue .  The other issue is the colour scheme - it consists of white & 2 shades of green , all separated by black pinstriping .  None of this features on the decal sheet , not even the pinstripes .  The only guide you have is very fine raised lines on the parts showing where the colour demarcations are , so getting it all to look right is going to be a major undertaking .  That said , done right it should look absolutely stunning .

Yesterday this stuff arrived:

8U5fkJ.jpg

Carbon and Kevlar decals for my WRC2001 Impreza project. PE-Saws I was missing when working on the body...

Some more stuff today:

d1tMXk.jpg

The kit was dirt cheap, had to take it. Looks like a dirt simple curbside. The white box contains all 9 Micro-Mesh grades in Pad form, 3 file sticks, polishing medium and polishing clothe. No more poor paintjobs! Subaru World Rally Blue (02C) by Zero Paints for my WRC2001 Impreza project. Well, hopefully.

Only some gorilla glue and cyanoacrylate glue missing now.
