Minicraft P38J kit 11625 updates

Dear All,

Just wanted to ask a question about resin cockpits for the Minicraft 1/48th P38J kit 11625.

I've seen the Eduard cockpit which looks superb and also then aires one. there is a big differance in price and wondered if anyone has built the kit with the Aires resin cockpit and whether it was accurate and fitted well. i'm trying to get either at Telford but because of the price i don't have a lot to spend as money is earmarked for quite a few things.

The Brassin one is designed for the Academy kit so not sure how well it would fit the Minicraft(presuming their not the same kit)

Aries, well it's Aries and may fit with some work, but to be honest they still need a lot of work to fit the kit their supposedly made for anyway I've found.

Definitely not the same as Academy. This kit came out after the Academy/Minicraft split. IIRC, True Details made a resin cockpit for the Academy kit that MAY fit.

Thanks for the help. I've reserved the True Details cockpit and wheels for Telford from Hannants.

I also wanted to update the undercarriage and was looking at the Profimodeller undercarriage set and wondered if anyone has tried it.

Any help would be appreciated.
