kitman
HI - Just building a Airfix spitfire XIX. It will be painted in all over PRU blue. Just wondering who makes the most accurate match in acrylic. I have a pot of xtracolor paint which I have purchased, but it looks a little dark. Anybody with opinions on this. Thanks in advance
MikeC
In acrylics, Humbrol 230 - one of the more reliable Humbrol acrylics in my experience. With Tamiya, 3 parts XF-18 to 2 parts XF-2; you can vary the latter slightly for post-shading and tonal variation if you wish. Valejo do a reasonable PRU Blue as well. I'm afraid Xtracrylix are on my "avoid" list after one bad experience too many, so I can't comment on their version.
