Will Vale
Be still my beating heart. I came in on the page with all the cowling painting (which looked very fiddly) and then the sudden jump to seeing the almost complete bike was amazing. Really nice work! Lol, there aren't any but you mentioned them on the previous page with the pic of the fuel tank cover decalling. Seriously impressive work on this, the little additions really bring it to life. Flipper
Ah, lol, I tend to do my spray work when I've not got any painkillers in me for my knee. Then all this work/typing is done under the influence. You've no idea how many times I've got to go back and change things I've typed. Glad you like what I've done so far. Flipper
Well that's the side panels and bottom panel 99% finished. I've just to paint the inside of the panels, and add a couple of wee knobbly bits on the side panels. The bottom panel which was painted in the white supplied as part of the kit by Zero Paints. I then decaled these up, again these decals aren't the greatest and would tear at the earliest opportunity. Thankfully I had ordered a spare set of decals from Tamiya's UK supplier. After the decals had been left overnight to fully dry they were given about 4 very light mist coats of Zero Paints Pre-Mixed Clear Lacquer. These mist coats were then left to dry for about 30mins. I then gave the panel 3 heavy coats of lacquer, and thankfully the lacquer didn't eat into the decals. It was then onto the side panels these were painted white, masked up using the kits masks, then sprayed the lovely red and orange day-glo paint. I then gave the panels a coat of clear lacquer in preperation for the decals to be applied. Then it was on with the decals. The smaller decals were fine to fit, but the larger ones, well like I've said before thankfully I had a spare set.0 Next up as I do, I was checking the instructions to make sure I had fine everything when, arghhhhhhh, yep 3 decals missing off the Bee Sting. That's now twice I've done it. Donkey. So before and after Anyway again thanks for looking. Cheers

Flipper
Thats me into the final few bits, hopefully it will be finished in the next couple of days. Next up was the foot pedals which considering the detail in the rest of the kit, are surprisingly lacking in detail. Top Studio have just brought out these add on kits, one for the foot pedals and the shift linkage. Here's the kit foot rest (cut off) and the aftermarket part. After I cut the kit foot rest off I grafted in the resin part. After that they were painted up in Vallejo Metal Color Dark Aluminium, also show is the shift linkage cover which got the carbon decal treatment and the rear camera/light And attached to the bike And that's it just about done, I'm waiting on a couple of bits drying so hopefully you'll see the finished bike soon
