Stonenkey
I used milliput to mold a leather seat cushion and rim. I also attached mono-filament to the fuselage by way of bits of sprue.
Stonenkey
Next for the Rotary Engine which is fairly basic, so I will try to weather it to make it look used. I painted first in Tamiya matt black then Vallejo Aluminium.
Stonenkey
Then weathered with various rust shades, oils and chipped bits to show wear. To be honest, I got carried away with this if you zoom in, you will see that it probably wouldn't run it is so rusty, but I was practising and it wont look as old when fitted hopefully. Stonenkey
I've been mixing paints trying to find the exact colours for this Camel, I know that the Olive Drab could be very different depending on length of service, RFC or RNAS etc, etc but I am happy with this mix. Used my own thinners and now have many little pots just for WW1 various colours that are ready for spraying on future projects.
