Mike
ZSU-23-4 Shilka (36341 for Meng)1:35 Eduard Meng's new Shilka was a fine kit, and we reviewed it here a little while back. Eduard now have this set to upgrade some of the details beyond what is possible with injection moulding, with plenty of parts to improve the look. As usual with Eduard's Photo-Etch (PE) and Mask sets, they arrive in a flat resealable package, with a white backing card protecting the contents and the instructions that are sandwiched between. Inside the bag is a large fret of bare brass PE, and a small slip of acetate with some instruments printed on. On the fret are a new set of driver pedals; an instrument panel with clear acetate backing; tow cable tie-downs; front fenders; driving light hood, protector and bracket; pioneer tool tie-downs; a raised panel on the upper hull; hatch rims; engine grille; bow wash panel; rear grilles; extinguisher holder; rear fender additions, plus a host of tie-downs, locking pins and hinges on the stowage boxes. Quite an extensive set all told. Review sample courtesy of
