Killingholme
1/450? WHY WHY WHY, If only they'd done it in 1/350 then we could all have a go at this...
davecov
I dunno, you could get some good perspective shots with the different scales! Dave

SeaVenom
I suppose 1/350th would make more sense but maybe they've got their reasons.
SeaVenom
Here it is anyway........ http://www.revell.de/en/products/model-building/ships/sailing-ships/id/05819.html I think it looks quite nice though I would've preferred the bottom sails fully unfurled and the gun ports open. It's nice to have some injection sails instead of the those awful vacform things (at least I hope they're injection plastic anyway).
lars_opland
That is a ridiculously small scale for a sailing ship kit...though I admit some might say the same of even 1:150. The copper plates look like stacks of gold bricks & those injection-molded furled sails just look...odd...like they were done by someone who has never even seen drapes. Besides, Victory has been done in tiny scales before; Revell is just dithering here. This kit will be met by all the enthusiasm it deserves & the bean-counters will conclude that sailing ship kits just don't sell. Sigh.
michaele
You mean this one? https://twitter.com/Black63721/status/1072764521943420928?s=20 This twitter thread shows what you can do with even a relatively simple kit like the Revell HMS Victory in 1/450.... Check out the build thread and see what the guy did with this kit... amazing! Thread begins on/about October 31, 2018. Enjoy! Mike E.
