Marlin
Thanks Silver Fox. OK. I didn't think I could fit the nosegear later. Yes, the etch vortex generators doesn't looks that promising. But I'll worry about them when I come to that stage. /Bosse
Bigmick
Love it, really well detailed work, you've inspired me to build a 1/48 Luftwaffe Sabre, I've already done a braille scale JG-71 Richthofen and am doing a set of Sabres in aerobatic team colours, there's more than you'd think, still looking for a nice 1/32. Marlin
Thanks a lot Mick. To inspire someone else is the best praise I could get. Lovely Sabre you got there. /Bosse

The Canadair Mk 6 had the standard wingtips. Oh...? Me stands corrected, gladly. Thanks, Jess. Ya might as well tell that to the blokes @ Kinetic... Cheers, Unc2 or Unc2, dependin' on my mood (Whoa, these two buttons musta indeed been devised only for me). Marlin
Hi. It's been awhile since the last update, but now I've got something new to show. The cockpit is ready, And with it ready it's time to close the fuselage. Glue the wings on. Some puttying here and there. Glue the nosecone in place, add the nose weight. I used some old copper coins that fitted perfectly. Right now I've primed the underside of it, and the plan is to start painting it during the coming week. Marlin
Hi. It's time for an update on my progress with the Sabre's I've started to put on the decals. It's rather a lot of them, and they are not the best Revell have supplied. I've got some silvering around the larger ones. But they seem to react well with Micro Sol, so I guess I'll get rid of the silvering. I've used only Revell enamels on this kit, and I have to say that they are a bit better than Humbrol is today. The plan for the week is to get all the decals on. To be continued... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. I'm continuing with the decals on the Sabre. And I think I've found the trick to get Revell decals to behave properly. I'm using Humbrol Decalfix under them, and Micro Set on top. It seems to work, because they havn't silvered as much as before. A light sanding of the decals and some more soaking with Micro Set will sure do the trick. The Sabre Dog has got some paint on it, and will soon also have some decals. Marlin
Hi, and a very Happy New Year. Icehockey on the tv does great things for my building. I'm now in the third and last period of my dual Sabre build. Hr Hartmanns ride is almost done. Canopy and droptank, along with some small bit is all that remains to be done. And on the Kilo I've started with the decals, but I've got guite a few stencils left to do. So a few more nights and these two will be the first one for 2017. Marlin
Hi. The Sabre is finished. I enjoyed building this kit, and if I find another one I snap it up right away. The Sabre Dog is right behind. It got all it's decal this weekend. I'll try and matt coat this during the week, and then it's just a question of adding the small bits to it. Marlin
Hi. I've finaly managed to complete the Sabre Dog. I had to clear it from my worktable so I could have some more space to my ongoing Six Days War build. This is how it turned out. And together with it's younger brother. I found it a bit tricky to build, but that's expected of a short run kit. I apologise for the low quality of the pictures. I got a new phone, and it shows that the camera on the old one was better. Also Photobucket is acting up a bit, I don't seem to get the pictures to show right. /Bosse
