F4u
Hello all, I had a great day at Bruntingthorpe last Sunday with some great aircraft and great people who help to keep the aircraft live. Nice to meet the team from WT333 and we had a good talk about the aircraft, I now have new friends in the world of aviation. I thought I would share some shots of the day with you. Max Headroom
Oooh, some pure nostalgia going on there A couple of questions though.... 1) I thought the Tristars were Stateside now? 2) Did FAA Buccaneers have bulged bomb bays? Trevor
F4u
Hi Trevor, I saw four Tristars and were "N" registerd so they must be going state side but who knows when I will try and find out. As for the Navy coloured jet I think its an ex RAF example painted to resemble a Navy aircraft but I thought all RAF Buccs were ex Navy ! I don't know what the mods were for the RAF aircraft someone with a bit more knowledge than me should be along ! Guy
Max Headroom
Hi Guy! My understanding is that any S.2 in the XX*** range was built for the RAF. Anything else was ex FAA. .....not sure about the XW***'s...... Trevor

Jimbobtheflimbob
Wish i could have gone. all the jets makes me wish there was a RAF Cold War Historic Flight! i wonder if someone could operate a buccaneer here in the UK. HHA have one but they dont seem to do displays. Will
