1/32 Spitfire PR XIX (from PCM XIVc)

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all.

Finally got this to the finish line, been fiddling with it for quite a few months.

I love the look of the PR spitfires, especially the griffon powered variants.

I started with PCMs fantastic XIVc. Its probably not entirely accurate but its the first time I have properly tried to do something like this.

First time at rescribing etc..

Its painted with a car spraycan which I got made to PRU blue off ebay.

I'm very happy with the result.

Photography is not my strong point so these photos will have to suffice.

All comments welcome.

Very interesting to see a photo-recco Spitfire. It is really refreshing !

You see so many fighters ( which I love too, of course)

But you did a great model; I especially love the colour (but I forgot its name, please refresh, thanx)

Great job !!!

The colour is simply called 'PRU BLUE'.. I found a company on eBay that supplies it as a spray can.

My favourite Spitfire Mark and modelled to perfection.

Superb job!

Was that paint solvent based or acrylic, btw? And is the eBay link a secret? ;-)

Kind regards,

Joachim

Here's the link to the paint.. It went on very well.
