Kilkeel Fly-in 13th Aug 2016

Recently I was lucky enough to find out about a Fly-in taking part local to my area, (Co.Down),

and never having attended anything like it before, I took full advantage of the chance to go.

As it turns out, it was a brilliant day, and the Nicholson family who own the airfield, Derryogue, really

went the extra mile as regards the welcome and the food on offer, absolutely superb.

To be able to walk around the aircraft and to stand a few feet away while the planes were landing and

taking off was pretty neat, a vast difference fro the previous week at Newcastle's Festival of Flight.

I brought my camera with me for once and thought some would like to see some of the

small aircraft and helicopters that flew in:
