Folks, SWMBO has asked me what I want for a big birthday coming up and it would appear that (since I've been a good boy) my wish for a Tamiya 1/32 F-16 will come true this year. Whoopee-doo! Any recommendations for a good reference book for this wonderful warplane, one with loads of good pics please? Many thanks in advance,

The best reference books on the F-16 are

Uncovering the F-16 by Danny Coremans (DACO Productions)

The Modern Viper Guide by Jake Melampy

F-16 Fighting Falcon Viper under the skin by Ioannis Lekkas and Ilias Gkonis

I can personally vouch for the third book on Stephen's list.

It is an incredibly detailed book, with images of EVERYTHING you could possibly want to see on Greek (Block 52, I think) Vipers. At around 20 quids, it a bit of a bargain. The other books I only know by their reputation - but they are supposed to be the absolute pinnacle of F-16 reference works.

Good luck with the build!

Cheers.

Chris.
