bootneck
I am trying to find a source for obtaining a g.a. plan/diagram of the icebreaker motor vessel Anita Dan which was completed in 1956. I saw an oblique view of one on-line once, the text appeared to be possibly German, but I don't know which publication it came from. Can anyone help please? cheers Mike
Panzer Vor!!!
Do you mean the Anita Dan which was renamed HMS Endurance ?? The IWM have photos and Greenwich Maritime Museum may have the plans Or try the Royal navy museum in Portsmouth
bootneck
Yes, that's the one. I've seen plenty of photos and I'm sure there is a set of plans in a publication somewhere. I cannot afford IWM prices for plans, especially for the small scale I work to. I don't think either IWM or the museum at Portsmouth would have the plans of Anita Dan, as she was built in a foreign shipyard, as a Danish merchant ship for J. Lauritzen, before being purchased and converted to become HMS Endurance. Cheers Mike
