whiskey
Nice job on the blades. What size pin did you use for supporting them back on the mast?

Hello, the pin is just something that I had lying around and seemd fitting, It is a 1.1 mm pin cut form a clip ... as my drills are either too samll or too big, fit was not perfect... but superglue comes to the rescue! i masked the canopy last night, and cleaned the resin weapons. quite a lot of excess resin on these small parts. sorry for the picture quality, but that comes from modelling late at night and useing onl a phone.... I am not yet sure about my load out. Anybody knows until when USMC used the TOW in tandem with the Hellfire until it got totally replaced by the latter? I somehow like this mixed Afghanistan type load out! thanks for looking and comments!
whiskey
I am not aware of any stoppage in the use of BGM-71 TOW missiles by the Marines. I would try to find pictures of the specific airframe you are building to get a loadout example. BuNo. 165281 BuNo. 165319 Unknown BuNo. but it's dated June of 2011.
exdraken
thanks whiskey! great pictures! I somehow had it in my head that the marine had to stop using the TOW on their Cobras, although they preferred it for some scenarios over the Hellfire.... maybe only the case for the AH-1Z or not at all! never mind, I plan to build the 9/11 tribute scheme with all the modifications, also the newer style and bigger chaff/ flare dispensers. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/A-sHHOiCQAEp03_.jpg:large Just noticed that I will probably have to modify the lower starboard front windscreen. They are asymmetric left and right!

Knight_Flyer
Certainly is a distinctive scheme, never realized it existed and only seen similar on an F-18

Thanks for sharing! oh! an honor! thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! decals vent on perfectly I'd say!, colors were not so easy to judge, but seem about right. some daylight photos, but not the end result yet.... comparison with the fancy TAH-1F that is all for now Edited November 2, 2016 by exdraken
exdraken
getting closer as well, just 2 very quick photos of yesternights work... not sure if I will manage to finish the load out though.... hope you like it!
modelling minion
Looks great. The important thing is to finish the airframe, the armament is secondary. I would really like to see you finish this one as you have put a lot of work into it. Craig.
Knight_Flyer
I like it for the scheme and I say if the colors are close then it's good enough for the model.
