CliffB
I shall be entering with this Huma kit, finished in Bolivian markings from a Blue Rider decal sheet. Bolivia acquired three Kl.25s in 1936, as part of their post Chaco War re-armament programme. To be honest, I've never seen a picture of one so will be assuming their standard finish of the time, namely silver dope overall. I've yet to decide which day to build on, but will probably go for a single 24h blitz. Cheers Cliff

milktrip
Ah, join the Sunday party Cliff. I'm currently trying to negotiate a start time with SWMBO. I may get up early and sneak through, trying not to wake my daughter...
Learstang
For a second there, Cliff, I thought this was another model to buy for my Gran Chaco War collection (all still unbuilt, unfortunately). However, it will look good in those colourful Bolivian roundels. Speaking of the Gran Chaco War, which I know is of some interest to you, I picked up as an e-book a book that Blue Rider did on the aircraft of that war. You probably already have it, but I hadn't seen it before. It has some nice drawings - I just wish that it had decals (and I had kits) for all the aircraft illustrated. Sgt.Squarehead
Cliff's got most of the Chaco AFVs in 1/72 too.....For which I must accept at least a small portion of blame. I'm another one who find's this obscure little war fascinating, but with around two thousand WWII kits still in the to-do pile, I figure I may have heaped more than enough on my plate already.

I've just got to work out how to tell Mrs.B that she won't be getting her usual 8 o'clock cuppa in bed..... Regards, Jason Hi Jason, yes my own Chaco collection extends to include immediate post war re-armament stuff too (as per Chapter 6 of the Hagedorn & Sapienza book). I've done very little Chaco modelling so far this year (just a solitary Vickers tank), so thought I might take the opportunity here - the Klemm being probably the simplest to build from my remaining Chaco stash. I've not seen the Blue Rider e-book, but I'm guessing that it's a collection of the articles that appeared over a number of editions of their Insignia magazine. As you say, there are some very nice drawings (being interpretations of descriptions in the H&S book) Cheers Cliff

Take it in to Mrs B and spill it all over the duvet. She'll be so hacked off that she won't speak to you for the rest of the day. Hassle free modelling time. CliffB
Two hours in - small parts are now prepped and primed.
CliffB
Another couple of hours gone... I lost some time to some paint issues, but finally all the small parts now have their basic colour. Some paint detailing to add and then it will be time to assemble the cockits and close up the fuselage. Time for a quick break though first! CliffB
Eight hours into the build and the cockpits are finally finished. The PE belts were a pain (as always), but the voice tube was a pleasant surprise from Huma
CliffB
Ten hours in and we now have flying surfaces and an undercarriage. I scored the elevator hinge lines and bent them down slightly for effect. The rudder was a separate part anyway, so I displaced that too (just don't look at the positions of the rudder pedals....).
