Karl
Hi chaps, I've been using Humbrol Clear Cote Matt (the non-yellowing stuff) for years. Although it works perfectly in the looks department I find that if I handle the model it becomes a bit sticky-tacky to the touch as if its not dry, even though I'm sure it is. I usually apply it by air-brush in light coats. Is this normal? If not, what am I doing wrong? Second, what matt varnish would you recommend that I can apply over enamel that won't yellow and actually dries hard! Thanks guys. Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies
Hi Karl, I use that stuff quite a lot and have had no problems with tackiness at all. What are you thinning it with?
Karl
Hi, White spirit for thinning. Its not that it does not dry; to the touch it is dry, however when holding the model it starts to feel tacky after a minute or so of handling. My hands are quite 'hot' most of the time so not sure if it has anything to do with that.. Karl
