hairystick
It looks quite "Chur!" Or, more formally "Churr Bro!" in the Kiwi vernacular. Other terms are available, but may be being held in reserve until The Big Reveal...

Replace all vowels other than "E" with "I". Try it with your favourite word.

A: Say "ahhhh" like at the doctors when he gets his tongue depressor out. E: This sounds a lot like "air". I: "eeeh" or probably closer to the letter "E". O: "ooor" The word "or" but with emphasis on the o. U: "oough" Similar to "glue". If you see a Wh in a word, just swap it with an "f". There. Clean and simple! Not bad for a language that does not have a written history whatsoever...
Ex-FAAWAFU
Returning from Kiwi vowels-sounds to modelling, sorry for silence over past week: real life stuff. As I get ever closer to completing the rivet work, my thoughts are turning to how to weather this - which will be a crucial step in toning down the rivets and harmonising the finish so it looks realistic. Just as did with the Vixen, my plan is to weather using variations on the "oil dot" technique which is used by our AFV cousins. Experience has taught me that (unsurprisingly) the oils behave differently depending on whether they're added to a gloss surface or a matt, and I am not sure which I want. So I am doing some trial runs. Long-term followers will recognise my faithful Fulmar wing. I've given it a squirt of my RAF BG mixture, sealed it with gloss, and added a few representative rivets and a roundel; I then sealed the whole lot with matt on one wing: ...and gloss on the other: [Ignore the red bits on the gloss wing; they are left over from when I tested various shades of red for the masked markings]. So far nothing else has been done - though it is interesting to see that even with no filters or weathering at all, the two wings look radically different. Watch this space. BTW, I used rattle can Mr Super Clear UV Cut in both cases - one matt, one gloss (obviously!). Martian
I am kind of getting sold on the rivets on this build, probably because this model is looking so splendid. Martian
Ex-FAAWAFU
I understand why you are still not completely sold on the rivets, Martian - I still get cold feet occasionally and wonder whether it's OTT. However, when I compare this: ...with this: ..then the un-riveted version just looks toy-like and way too smooth. 9
