I first built this kit in 1986 and when I saw it again had to get two of them..

I'm really starting to like the look of the 40's coupes and this one's another stunner.

Interesting mods you're doing. I vote for a bumper delete too ;)

Got the engine done,it was sprayed Humbrol polished steel and cleared - the Humbol is rather delicate..

The engine test fitted in the chassis, just had to nibble one engine mount to clear the belts.

Thanks gents.

Got her cleared today,it was a rare day when I did not feel too wobbly - a stroke wiped out my balance and trying to walk on a cane while carrying stuff.........

I really like that blue! We had a 40 Chevy Business coupe that we dropped a 350 into. That thing was incredibly dangerous. The body would flex and twist trying to bite the road. These bodies are very light (you know, for an American car) and anytime you really floored it, it would try to swap ends on you. Having said all that, if given the opportunity I would have totally put a Viper V10 in if I had a chance. It's crazy and dangerous, but it's fun. Really great fun. Keep up the good work!

Cheers Thud.

Decided to use some aftermarket wheels on her.

I am stealing that pen idea. I was building a unmarked Chevy Impala police car for a friend, and I masked and painted the window trim. I had to do it over and over until I got it right. This looks so much easier.

I agree with Metro, those rims look great.
