Hi Richard. Yet another of your builds that I will follow with admiration! (Great start on the steering!)

Hi Alpha, thanks for your kind words steering turn out how I wanted to be, I think it looks better to have wheels turned on a diorama

Gorgeous things happening here Richard, great work on the seats. The last photo is vaguely reminiscent of the TV series "Wheeler Dealers"

Thanks Julian, seats are little different than what they should be once I put the seat padding on you wont see

Lovely model Richard - that big lad in the last photo looks like he would be handy with a hammer.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew, thanks for looking in and you are right about big lad when I scale him to 1:24 scale he comes out at 6'-3" and the small guy is 5'-6"

Did some more to the front seats they are not correct but they will do, will make the back seat and then the seat padding

It seems that the "crowd" also likes your work ... , cheers Richard

:D not sure why we can not get some normal size figures, these guys are all 6'-0 except one, how many WW11 guys were over 6'-0"?

A veritable treasure trove there Richard, those crewmen look very interesting and I notice a Catalina perched coyly on a wooden jig in the background :coolio::winkgrin:

I started the Catalina, but I found I got an allergic reaction to CA glue every time I used it, but since then I have bought thin ZAP CA glue and have not had an reaction.

Beautiful work Richard.

Several thoughts:

The chassis stands are great. You could start a full restoration shop there; I can pretty well hear the four banger idling away.

Work space uncluttered, amazing.

Setting the bar very high for coming SAS Jeep build.

Really looking forward to seeing this develop, great art.

Robert

Thanks very much Robert I find 1:24 scale you can add as much detail as you want to do.

Started the back seat, made it with the hinges

Then I went back and added the hinges to the front passenger's seat :mental:

Very nice,I love the 6 wheel Matador!

Its coming along Arni and yes I like the Matador as well.

The seats are hinged is incredible .... , cheers Richards

Not hard to do Francis, all you do is squeeze the tube flat then i drilled a .016" hole and then pined it.

best regards

Richard

I love the seats - they make such a difference.

Where did the figures come from?

Seats did come out not to bad, they are not made as the real ones but close, regarding the figures

This one is from Barracuda Studios

Wy8crb.jpg

This one comes from Grey Matters figures, he is the smallest

ASaBUj.jpg

These three came with the 1:24 scale Trumpeter Spitfire mk Vb

I think these two are twins

Last one came from KFS Kit Form Services, this is a modern guy will change him to look like 1944 guy

Small update to the Willys Jeep, changed the petrol tank to a British one due to the Jeep is going to be a Canadian one working with the Canadian 440 squadron at the landing air strip B9/Lantheuil, Normandy Sept 1944. They might have had the USA version but who knows.

Then I want to have the canvas roof cover on so I have made the supports out of 1mm brass tube, still got to make the bracket to hold it.

Coming along very nicely! Fire extinguisher is new too I believe.

Did not realize Cdn and US jerry cans were different. Between this forum and the Google machine, learn something new every visit.
