Hibaldstow (Lincs) skydiving open day today.

Several Morris Minor/1000's.

Jaguar Mk 2 in Black & quite original looking.

Opel Ascona (Think Mk 1 Cavalier)

WW2 Jeep & WW2 (1943) Fordson Fire Engine (RAF)

Mk 3 Capri 2.8 injection in remarkable original condition.

Ford Sierra, again in remarkable original condition.

They both had less than 50,000 on the clock.

Oh, and a few aeroplanes too.

I only nipped out briefly today as trying to work on my Triumph Herald, however, saw a very tidy, white MkIII Capri, looking totally stock, and all the better for it.

Down on the Salisbury to Shaftesbury A30 yesterday about 1545hrs, saw a pair of Mk 2 Escorts, a Mk 1 Cortina, four Ferrai's, an Audi Quattro & some type of sporty Lancia, obviously coming from a Show somewhere, but to me, most impressively was a 1982 Suzuki Katana GSX1100EFE up in Shaftesbury itself, very nice.

Despite it being Monday, the glorious weather brought out some equally glorious classics.

The A30 served up a rather tatty Citroen 2CV, and in sharp contrast a pristine Fiat 124 Spyder, in white with Matt black bonnet and boot lid.

No to be outdone, the M25 saw a tidy, but slightly careworn Jaguar Mk1 saloon in black on a trailer.

There is a yellow Mk1 Capri in town that has been slightly customised, but still very tidy. The Allegro estate I have mentioned before in Harvest Gold still sits on a drive, after having sat in a back garden for a long time. It's all there, but the owner could do with moving it on, it was Grannies car. He has a big MAZ truck and 3 Landys to contend with, so if anybody wants an Allegro to restore, let me know.

A Renault Twizy.

In Birkenhead.

Why?

Is this a quiz? If so I failed miserably, as I have no idea a Renault Twizy is, let alone why one should be in Birkenhead. Can you give us a clue...?

Yesterday in Newmarket, an Alfa Romeo Guillietta Spider from around 1960 in beautiful condition. I think it was a Guillietta, but it clearly had a 1600 badge and Wikipedia claims that model only came with a 1300cc engine....

Today in Lincoln, pale metallic blue Opel Manta 'L' reg plate.

In Horncastle this afternoon a 'J' reg TR6 in red. If anything this was too shiny.

It looked like it needed to be at Earls Court for the motor show. If you see what I mean?

Guessing you probably weren't on the A30 in Staines with a caravan, unless you have very low holiday expectations!

On the way in to work this morning I saw the ultimate Yorkshire car, no not a Jowett, a Volkswagen E-up!

I kid you not! Did no one in VW's marketing department say that out loud!

Also an early Porsche 911 and a Mercedes SL 'panzerwagen'.

A30 goes as far as Staines, blimey, nope, I was still in tractor country (Zumazet and Dooooorset).

Silly me, of course the A30 goes that far, just Googlemapped and realised I spent a shed load of time on the road around Winchester/Basingstoke/Camberly back in the day

Went for on a shortish drive through the city and saw a Masa-ratty (Granturismo?). It's the second one I've seen this week (the other one was black and parked outside the chippy) – they must be dead common, ten a penny around here.

A little later I saw something else that may be of some interest. Not being a car bod I don't know what it is. Is it an Austin?

Two seconds later I saw a nice Triumph Herald convertible.

Sorry about the photo quality - dashcam.
