Wouldn't have thought that there was enough room in Penzance for a barge like that!

Lol, something of that size would normally be seen in the harbour! There's a surprising amount of yank metal around these parts though. I saw a '59 El Camino and a '50s Buick as well this weekend just cruising about.

One of my buddies had one of these in dark blue with a light blue interior.  First car I ever rode in with a sunroof. Both doors had worn out hinges because each door was like 5 ft long and was well over 150 lb. So you had to pick them up when you shut them or they wouldn't close.  Funny story, he hit a horse at over 65 mph and all it did was damage the grill, broke off the rearview mirror,  crack the windshield and broke the drivers side pop up lights.  It didn't even dent the sheet metal.

They don't make'em like that anymore. How wrong is it that I really like that color?

I love the colour. It doesn't get any more 70s than brown!

For anyone local and interested Sunday June 4 at Thirlestane Castle, Lauder, there will be about 1000 classic cars etc at the Borders Vintage Automobile Show. Only 25 minutes easy drive from the Edinburgh bypass.

Although no camera, again, A BMW i8 in red going into the car park of our local cottage hospital, here in Buckingham UK. Sleek , has engine sound, expensive, but how many miles to a charge?

Something I've not seen before which I later learnt (from my friend Google) is a BMW I8 – a silver one with blue bits. It was also a bit of a shock, from someone who has never spent more than £8,000 on a car, to discovered the price of said flashmobile - £105,000!!!!!

Just noticed PatW's post - they must be as common as muck.

I saw a real rarity in Leighton Hospital car park last night - an original 1983 Austin Metro City .  Can't remember the last time I saw one of those - I thought they'd all collapsed in rotting heaps by now .  Brought back memories though , since I learnt to drive in one or , strictly speaking , two since my driving instructor had one & my mum did as well .

A maroon Morgan 3 wheeler (I think). It had a pre 1963 number plate, a sloping back radiator. It had noJapanese2 cylinder engine up front though which makes me doubt that it was actually a Morgan.

Mid-1930s 3 wheel Morgans used a 1000cc J. A, P. V-twin engine at the very front

In Bury St Edmunds yesterday, a very smart white Mini pickup, on a 'J' suffix plate, and an equally tidy pre 1963 Mini Countryman in pale blue.

The Countryman is rare enough. There was a spate of converting Countryman and vans into pick-ups during the 1990s

Until you know for shure; it might also have been a Lomax kit car. A Morgan look-a-like based on the Citroen 2CV with one rear wheel taken away. Usually uses the 2cv engine, or a BMW boxer engine or even a Japanese V-twin motorcycle engine, with or without water cooling ie a rad at the front
