When was the last time you saw one of those, that's if you can remember what they look like?

I had to look that up, we had those over here. It was branded a Cadillac Catera and my father in law had a maroon one. A truly terrible car.  It lasted about 79k miles before the headgasket blew. They are super rare these days.  Few made it to their 10th year.

A Wolseley 1500 [early 1960s version]

Didn't get the chance to get a photo.

It looked nice and tidy, well looked after, but so tiny on the road compared to modern yokes

Always liked them. A Moggie Thou. on steroids. Had a tendency to roll over.

1986 Ford Sierra Hatchback.

Considering the millions that were sold, can't remember last time I saw one.

I forgot to post this yesterday, so,

At a car sales place on the B1398, North of Kirton Lindsey,

A Belgian biplane, yes, an XR4i with the twin wings.

Not long after that North of Scampton village,

A Lotus Esprit in full John Player Special colours.

Today was an Austin Cambridge (C reg) in Harrogate

and later a Rover 90 in two tone paint in Lincoln.

Twenty years ago over here every other car you saw was a Sierra or Orion, then they just vanished along with Saphire Cossies...

I had one of these 20 years ago. It was a deep plum metallic colour. Lovely car. 2.5 V6. Drove like a dream.

Spotted a very nice green Saab 96 on the A 438 near Brecon , lovely condition on a M plate { 1974 I think }

I'm envious of that one. Those are fantastic little cars.  Handed like a car from a later era. Not bad looking cars either.

That reminds me, I saw a Sapphire with

a boot spoiler yesterday, so maybe a Cossie?

Used to navigate in a Sapphire Cossie a few years back. Just loved the way it used to launch itself at the horizon. Less impressed when it jumped off the road and into the scenery on the IoM :)

Yesterday in Chippenham. A Ford Capri Mk3 2.8. They are pretty rare these days. Our office car park is a mine for classics. You never know what might turn up!

Oh, and there is a Mk4 Escort estate running around our housing estate, see it every few weeks.

Cheers, Alan.

Today in our village. A 1988 Sierra on the forecourt of our local garage.

Looked pretty tidy for a car 29 years old.

Within five minutes of each other this afternoon a blue four door Mk.1 Escort on an E plate (1967) so probably one of the oldest still being driven(?) and a rather nice white white Triumph Stag

Out on my cycle ride today I saw:

  • A convoy of MX-5s, presumably a club run
  • Austin Healey 3000
  • Early E-type coupe
  • World War 2 Jeep, didn't see if it was MB, GPW or M201.
  • V-12 E-type  2+2 was turning round in the entrance to our street as I arrived back!

I'm not really into cars, but the lime-green Lancia Stratos I saw today was difficult to miss. It looked like it had yellow wheels and I could hear it before I could see it – this bloke either desperately wants to be noticed, or is colour blind.
