EDIT: Or rather that should work. But because everything about the forum is broken...it doesn't. Or at least not in the traditional fashion. The new forum software is parsing it as a link, rather than sticking to the code and parsing it as a link to an image. If you remove formatting you get the below without the need for the tags just by posting the link to the image on it's own.

ie http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/o513/brian07900/20160916_065646_zps56wwgkyw.jpg (and then click 'Remove Formatting')

Working on getting the main tank part finished now, there are a few parts still to add but I have started the weathering. I would like some advice as well, the two panels towards the back of the tank tracks with the heavy damage look to me like they something adding but Im not sure what, any advice?

Ok so this is the last test fitting of parts and light before I glue it all shut, I still can not get it to hold the Gatling gun so I might try using some other MG hand from Bandai  to see if that helps before I glue the gun in place as well. I might make a start on the base and come back to this just so I dont rush to get it finished as there is lots more paint details and weathering still to do.

Thanks guys,

I have been busy with this as I have had a few problems with my dodgy wiring on the lights, they are all working now but I have had to separate the top and bottom of the tanks wiring and add a new switch. Anyway managed to get the tank finished, the amo belt isn't long enough to reach the back pack from the gatling gun but the open door is in a great place for the belt to feed out of, lots of new painting methods learnt on this kit and most of them turned out OK and over all Im happy with it. Im now thinking long and hard about a dio and Will Vales dio is big influence if a little intimidating but I will be using some of his build techniques to come up with something a bit smaller for the Zaku Tank (fingers crossed).

Anyway a few pictures of the tank and just encase you didn't  know the Zaku tank is from the Gundam series and the Zaku tanks  are a result of the the Zeon being forced to salvage whatever they could, to cobble together new units from whatever was available in order to get more combat units to the field. These creation's are from mounting a Zaku torso, head and arms onto the hull of a Magella attack tank. ( Motor King are releasing the Magella kit at some point)

Cheers Hunter.

Ok so this is the start of my diorama for the Zaku tank, its going to be made as cheep as possible using junk thats around the house. So i started off with some styrene packing that I have stuck together using PVA glue and when its all dry i will add and cut rock shapes before going over it all with some wall finishing plaster.....well thats the plan anyway.

Please feal free to comment and or point me in the right direction

Coming along nicely! I like the big rear rock in the last picture a lot. It might be good to sponge on some washes of thinned paint, in a patchy fashion, to give a bit of large scale variation?

Not sure what to suggest for the ground cover - is it going to be dry or wet terrain?

Cheers,

Will
