Blastvader
Junkers Ju-88 C-6 F1+XM Luftwaffe 4./KG 76, Taganrog, Ukraine, January 1943 Hello all! This is my Ju-88 C-6 built for the STGB, built OOB except for a few details from the Eduard Etch set for the Hase kit. The build went relatively smoothly, apart from my struggles with AK's paints, which I am rapidly falling out of love with. You can probably see that there a few items that are not where they should be (the gondola predominantly) and I'm not sure whether that's HB's fault or mine. But, it looks a bit like an '88 and it gave me a chance to practice some techniques I'd never done before and test out some new products so I'll chalk it up as a win. Cheers, Paul Work in Progress thread HERE

Josip
Quite convincing winterwash JU-88C. Could you explain your problems with AK paints?
Parabat
Looks good to me, I can see the gondaola looks a bit far back, but the finish is what really brings this to life. Great work on creating a war weary finish.
Blastvader
Thanks all. Could you explain your problems with AK paints? They didn't spray well Any sort of masking was a dangerous proposition regardless of how long they'd been curing for The RLM 65 never fully cured and had to be sealed with varnish in places. I don't think I'll be using them again apart from the RLM66 and 02 which performed fine.

Blastvader
Thanks AtSea. I would have liked to maybe gotten a bit more definition in the upper surfaces (there is quite a subtle wash and some filtering but it doesn't show up well in crappy iPhone pictures) but I was rushing for the end of the STGB...which got extended by a week the day after I finished it. But such is life I t was a good chance to try out a lot of new techniques on a cheap kit so it was worthwhile regardless.
