wallyinoz
You may remember Inspector Clouseau's (Pink Panther) classic mispronunciation of "Moths". When I was at Jandakot Tower we used to love giving the instruction "Follow the Tiger Merth downwind" Anyhoos this year is the 85th anniversary of the Tiger Merth. To celebrate the occasion "A Gathering of Moths" was held at Old Warden, home of the Shuttleworth Collection, I popped down to have a gander.. a few more in the photostream, enjoy!

lasermonkey
I managed to get there a bit later on. Stupidly, I only took the one lens, so missed out on a fair few pictures. Thoroughly enjoyed it, though. It's been a long while since I last got to Old Warden and seeing so many de Havillands together was quite a thrill. Great pics, by the way! JosephLalor
Ah, De Havilland. Lovely pictures. Nice to see a Dragon Rapide there. I got to see one at the recent air display at Bray in Co Wicklow, flying in company with some Chipmunks. It was painted as EI-ABI, An t-Iolar. wallyinoz
Some shots from my other camera (I use my EOS5D with my big lens for most of my airshow photography, but I use my smaller, lighter but still quite capable camera when I need a lower range of zoom and can't be assed to change the lens on the big one.)
nuuumannn
Very nice photos of some rather pretty aeroplanes, Wally. Looks like G-APAM is a Tiger Myth. Curious French interloper (The Cap 10) with Mexican markings.
stevehnz
Nice, but 5 Hornet Moths in one place, that just isn't fair, I love those things. Thanks for sharing. Steve.
