Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb, RHAF, Egypt 1942

I wanted to build a Hurricane MkIIb, but I didn't have the Hasegawa one.

So I took the Hobbycraft MkIIc out of the shelf, removed the bulges from the upper side of the wings,

rescribed new panel lines and I made a MkIIb.

The kit depicts an aeroplane of the Royal Hellenic Air Force in Egypt in 1942.

Looks great,.....nice conversion and I love the scheme.

I did the same aircraft in 172nd scale using the rather poor Airfix kit;

You choosed the right roundel for the sides. I have a book which shows a b/w photo of that plane and it is clear enough that he roundel is blue.

I think that we are both right and that it wore the RAF roundels which were later converted to Greek roundels!
