eng
Hi Eng, Thanks for the compliments! The LGBs are modified GBU-12s from Hasegawa's Aircraft Weapons VI set. I made the hardbacks from sections of styrene tubing, and the GPS antennas and other fairings on the seeker from styrene strip and rod. The decals came from my spares. Here's another pic of the weapons... That really is a work of art! The weap's are as good as the jet itself, love the subtle variation between the two 2250ltr tanks, both in colour and the choice of decals. Incredible work. Please don't hesitate to post some more pics! Eng

I saw a few photos of the mis - matched fuel tanks and figured I had to try and replicate that :-) Edited August 1, 2016 by TBP1538

72modeler
Wow! Without a doubt, the best 1/72 Tornado build I have seen! You nailed the weathering, panel lines, and the thrust reverser exhaust stains that many times get overlooked on a Tornado model. Mike

Pelican
Superb! Beautiful paint job. Demonstrates again that 1/72 can be very detailed. Edited January 19, 2017 by Pelican
Saddler
What a superb Tornado, very inspiring. But if this is your first post on RFI then I'm a bit jealous too, when I think of my first posts I cringe !!!
Meatbox8
I had to do a double take on this to check it really is 1/72. A seriously good bit of modelling. The colour tones and weathering look spot on.
Bedders
I'm more into piston-engined types but grew up in the 80s when the Tornado was shiny new. So I've got a bit of a soft spot for it, and that's a lovely model you've made there. Great job. Justin
