what scifi stuff has the postman delivered to you today?

saw this up at Forbidden Plant last week - very tempting but they only had sealed copies and the queue at the till was about 10 miles long so I could not be bothered to join it and ask them to let me have a look and break the seal

Go these two lovely books from my sister and mother respectively for crimbo:

And these two pre-festive purchases arrived from Japan today. A revive Guncannon (which I already have one of, as well as the original HGUC and the MG but it was going for less than £7 posted so I couldn't resist) and a 1/100 Tieren Ground Type, which I've been after for a while, so when one popped up at retail price of 2,800 Yen on Amazon I jumped on it.

Postman today brought a package from Hobby Link Japan...

This is a much larger box than the original TB3 I built a few years back - the TB3 kit is still the same but lots of extra bits for the launch bay

This will make a fun companion piece to my earlier TB3 model

Lorne's Sculpting a Galaxy is an excellent book - the holy grail of all things ILM. My copy is considered as one of my most precious hardback printed investments

Happy reading - the book really compliments all the ILM documentaries on YouTube and really helps in detailing any Star Wars model

Oh you might not be so enthusiastic about that, I owned that kit for a short time and took one look at it and sold it on. In the end I bought an Aoshima die-cast :)

That good eh? And it's not like you to shy away from a challenge. :worry:

Does that Guncannon come with Kai and Hayato's decals? Or just Kai's C-108?

Arrived Wednesday- the Pegasus Terminator 2 Hunter-Killer Tank!

A big box full of great detailed parts, I was not expecting rubber tracks. This is not the chromed version, I will paint mine more of a worn silver.

Arrived Yesterday- The Moebius 1:32 Proteus from Fantastic Voyage. This has been a grail kit for me. I have the Sgt. Wilco 1:48 in the closet of doom but this new kit is styrene, my material of choice.

Anybody want he Wilco kit for $30?

is that a shock absorber of some kind....!

Yes It’s for a mk1 escort...

Actually it it is a tap, a ring burner, a Graflex clamp, calculator display and most of a ww2 rifle grenade (and another bit between the tap and the clamp that I have yet to identify).

It’s going to need a lot of high build primer.

Had to be quick getting this snap as Gandalf

Gandalf

decided he did not want this on his scratching post!

Finally got one of these:

This is the X-Plus/Kadokawa Shin Godzilla vinyl kit, the scale is approx 1/474.

Once assembled it should resemble this:

I have a second kit on it's way to me. This time the pose depicts the big G unleashing an atomic blast.
