Nearly cross eyed trying to get it to where it is.

Will try update this soon

The US Marine with the M60 that they do has the wrong pockets on his trousers and possibly the wrong combat boots as well.

However I do like their figures I just wish they came in 1/35 scale to

Ooft let me see now, Ozzy

Base-Lightened olive drab-155

Brown blotch- lightened -98 chocolate

Green blotch- lightened -78 int green

darker green blotch -78 int green

brown squiggle- 98 chocolate

light squiggle- lightened-74 linen with a hint of base colour

All paints were humbrol

All done with a pair of washed and faded combats within view and in natural light

HTH

i know the molle straps on the bergen are mtp but i was nearly cross eyed doing the combats and it was lost against the larger pattern (i tried ), the olive gives a slight contrast

Thanks MTD,

The reason for asking is I'm trying to replicate MTP material myself for this.

You have done the straps correctly, well on my day sack they are green in colour. On the Osprey body armour they are MTP. Just checked some photos of mine.

OOOH!! is that a Maurice Cory?

Not seen that one.

Mk-7 lid

Mk-4 osprey

More likely to be the brown boots than the dessie Lowas or Meindls

TBH the base colour looks a bit dark Oz.......but it all depends on what reference you're going from

It's a presentation I received, it measures 230 mm tall the original colour was bronze. It was sat on my desk at work and I thought it would look far better painted, the scrim is the foil from a wine bottle. I have since repainted with a lightened olive drab and already it's looking better, even though every time you deploy your entitled to all new kit most people don't take it all. Desert boots are still a common sight, as the last time I deployed brown boots were quite new so not everybody got them. Hopefully my MTP will turn out as good as yours.
