AgentG
Wondering what to do with an orphaned Tamiya kit got me thinking. Added the usual texture. Filled holes. Added all the detail you would see without tools. Now you see it. Now you don't. Where's this going you ask? Brand new and ready to ship. She's in primer as we speak. HansReggelsen
I've seen cocooned planes but never a cocooned tank! What a great idea and well executed! Cheers Hans J

Andy Moore
That's a really great idea, and brilliantly done. The bare metal foil looks like it's ideal for the job. Andy

AgentG
Well, a casual internet search revealed Archer markets the appropriate dry transfers to replicate shipping labels and such. They have been ordered and this will sit until they arrive. I like to weather after markings are applied. Weathering will be minimal at best, but photos reveal some dirt, grime and wear. In the mean time I'm experimenting with various types of wood in building shipping pallets and the big storage box on the engine deck. G
AgentG
Here's where I'm at tonight. I began working on the storage box. Here's a pic I located on the internet of the real deal. For discussion purposes only. A Pallet. Thank you local coffee shop. Basswood box. Thank you Hobby Lobby. Testing. Found some stronger paper. White glue, water and Vallejo acrylic got me here. Some thin styrene strip, more basswood and gunmetal colored paint yielded this. G

Shermanvc
Given the crate on the rear deck, your vehicle should possibly be stencilled with "Link 1 of 1" subject to your representation of course. Link 1 of 1 - indicates that as per your vehicle, it was supplied with the CES in a crate on the rear of the vehicle. (Link 1 of 2, indicating the CES is supplied separately). I have a photo of this from the side of my Sherman VC, however, I don't use photobucket and cannot see where I would attach an image on this forum - am happy to email you the image if you are interested. AgentG
Finished my work week. The Archer transfers arrived. Tamiya NATO Black sprayed to look like the sealant. Mounted the crate. It's hard to see in photos but I used three different shades of gray on the rubber portions of the tracks. Glamour shots tomorrow. G

Shermanvc
Have emailed you the photo... We found original stenciling on the transmission cover of my M4A4 which has 'Unhook Cable before towing' where you have 'lock' on yours. This to release the brakes before the vehicle can be towed. celt
Odd take on a Sherman is right, a real unique way to model a tank. Impressive.
